Gearbest EU – 2024 update
Please be aware that Gearbest.com as a store no longer exists. Website is not reachable. They are not active in facebook from 2022. Gearbest users has left lots of negative feedback, for example from Trustpilot – people lost money from the Gearbest wallets, did not receive products and etc..
What happened to Gearbest
The main reason for this was the bankruptcy of the parent company “Globalgrowe Ecommerce” group, which was founded in 2007. In 2018, Globalgrow Ecommerce limited its financial support to Gearbest, which had a huge influence on the price policy of this store. Gearbest was always known for the extremely low prices, which undoubtedly attracted new buyers, but the loss of funding from the home company made it almost impossible to offer the same. Then gearbest offered free shipping option, but apparently that did not solve the problem.
Gearbest in the past
Gearbest was one of the most popular online stores in China. You can find all kinds of products there, from textiles to electronics, though most popular are electronic gadgets with famous Chinese brands, like Xiaomi, Huawei, Lenovo, Asus, OnePlus, DJI, Gocomma, Creality 3D, Siroflo, Zanflare, Alfawise and etc. In the past Gearbest was known for its low prices.
Though Gearbest main office is in China, but they had 46 warehouse worldwide. Gearbest Europe warehouses were located in Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy. This helped to shorten delivery time to only 1-5 days.
Gearbest.ma legit?
Though gearbest.com is gone, you can find some similar pages, like gearbest.ma. This website looks the same, has same branding colours, but actually domain was registered just on 18th of December 2023. Website looks super suspicious – no real address, no phone, just very weird support email with domain thegearbest.com (it is not the same as real gearbest.com). In trustpilot this website has negative feedback also.
Gearbest alternatives
Gearbest EU has many great alternatives. As we are focusing on European warehouses, those are alternatives with delivery from EU option:
- Aliexpress – you can find more about aliexpress EU warehouses in this post.
- Banggood – for each category its possible to select “Ship from” country, for example Electronics from Czech Republic, Sports & Outdoors from Poland, Tools from Czech Republic…
- Sunsky has EU Warehouse products. Sunsky has great review score in trustpilot.
- TomTop has warehouses in Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Poland.
- Geekbuying has EU Warehouse products.
- Temu.com has 5-14 business days delivery offer to EU countries, so it also gets into the list for fast delivery China origin stores.
Gearbest owed me money for not sending goods purchased. They said they would refund but it was put into my gearbest Wallet for me to purchase other things instead! Now they have disappeared. I asdsdume I have lost my money now? Or is there a way to get it back?
